Friends Club - Delhi affiliated with DDCA since 1975 has been formed with the basic objective to promote young talent in cricket in Delhi.
The promising young talent identified & encourage by the club are given the benefit of rigorous practice session as also match exposure including participation in the highly competitive DDCA League. Such encouragement given has enabled more than 50 players to play various grades of representative cricket including IPL. Presently the Cricket coaching is being imparted by following renowned national players and experienced coaches.
Mr. Yogesh Sachdeva – has represented Delhi in various grades of cricket including Ranji Trophy . He is actively associated in the coaching of youngsters and has vast experience as Selector & Coach of DDCA Jr. Cricket Teams Presently he is involved as a coach of Friends Cricket Academy in Delhi purely on Honorary basis.
Mr. Mohit Sharma – A former Delhi State Cricketer is also actively involved in the coaching of youngsters over a period of time. He is qualified BCCI level – I Coach.

Since cricket is a team game it is mandatory that a team should have good team spirit to achieve outstanding result/ s we can proudly mention that because of the excellent technical skill & team spirit imparting to the trainees by the Coaches have brought laurels to the Club during last 5 years. During this period of time the trainees of the Club were given intensive training at St. Sophia School, A-II Block, Paschim Vihar, Delhi as well as given adequate exposure to display their talent by participating in the Delhi State League organized by Delhi & District Cricket Association. vi) Gyaneshwar Prasad Memorial Cricket Tournament held at Rajokari Ground, Gurgaon

x) All India Amandeep T-20 Cricket Tournament held at Amritsar during August, 2016 – Our Club become Champion by defeating leading cricket teams/Institutions viz. FCI, Air India
With a view to inculcate in children sense of discipline and help them to develop a true sportsman in themselves, provide best fitness training, promote cricket for the welfare of children and develop winning spirit in them and for achieving more excellence, the Club has now embarked on a new project at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), AU Block, Pitampura, Outer Ring Road, New Delhi- 110034 , VSPK International School, Rohini Sector 13, New Delhi. and K. R. Mangalam World School

The trainees will be given the benefit of four days rigorous practice at the new venue which will have the latest facilities. International cricketers & outstanding coaches including Dronacharya Awardee Shri Raj Kumar Sharma Coach of Indian Captain Virat Kohli will visit the Academy from time to time to advise the trainees. These measures will ensure outstanding results both for trainees as also for the club.
His contribution towards promotion of sports & cultural activities as Sports Administrator & was associated with:-
● Food Corporation of India – Sports Promotion Board in different capacities from 1992 to 2013. Retired as Joint Secretary (FCI – Sports Promotion Board) on 31st March,2013.
● All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board as General Secretary for more than a decade (2000 to 2013)
● Delhi & District Cricket Association for more than three decades in different capacities. Last assignment was as Vice Chairman (Sports Working Committee) during 2013-14.
